Habib Subjally

Head, RBC Global Equity

Habib leads the RBC Global Equity team of 12 global equity specialists (sector, portfolio and risk management) and has more than 20 years of industry experience. Before joining RBC Global Asset Management in 2014, Habib and his team spent eight years together at First State managing Global equities. Previously, Habib was Head of Small & Mid Cap Research at Credit Suisse and Head of the Global equities team at Invesco. Habib began his fund management career at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers where he was Head of North American and Global equities research and Manager of the Mercury Global Titans Fund.

Habib is a Certified Chartered Accountant and holds the ASIP designation with the CFA Society of the U.K. He holds a BSc (Hons) from the London School of Economics.


Neil Abbott

Neil Abbott

Global Consumer Products, RBC Global Equity

Neil is a Consumer Specialist and Senior Portfolio Manager on the RBC Global Equity team. Before joining RBC Global Asset Management in early 2014, Neil spent 13 years with the same team at First State as Consumer Specialist. Previous experience includes roles at Bass PLC in corporate treasury, corporate finance and operations at the brewing, retail, leisure and hotels group. This led Neil to spend three years in South Africa as a subsidiary CFO. Prior to Bass PLC he spent six years at KPMG with client exposure to a broad range of industries.

Neil holds a BCom from Birmingham University, is a Chartered Accountant and Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.


Luis Benoliel

Luis Benoliel

Global Technology & Telecoms, RBC Global Equity

Luis is a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Global Equities team focused on global technology and telecoms. Before joining RBC Global Asset Management in early 2014, Luis spent over eight years at First State focusing on IT & telecoms. He joined the team from the sell side firm, Sanford Bernstein, where he was an Analyst from 2001 covering the European engineering sector. Previous experience includes roles at McKinsey as a Management Consultant specialising in utilities and telecommunications both in Spain and the US, as well as five years in industry as a Research Engineer with Telefonica in Spain.

Luis holds an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and a degree and MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.


Greta Favetta

Greta Favetta

Investment Analyst, RBC Global Equity

Greta is an Investment Analyst for the RBC Global Equity team. Prior to this Greta spent a year as an Analyst within the RBC European Equity team following a successful period on the graduate rotational programme. Before Greta worked at RBC, she interned at Barclays and was trained for one year in a boutique accounting firm in Italy.

Greta holds an MSc in Financial Management from the University of Durham (2016) and an LL.B with focus on Comparative Law from SOAS and UCL, Universities of London (2013).


Marcus Lun

Marcus Lun

Global Energy and Basic Materials, RBC Global Equity

Marcus is a Senior Portfolio Manager and the Global Equity team's Resources Specialist. Marcus was with the Global Equity team at First State before joining RBC Global Asset Management in early 2014. Previous experience includes roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as Global Materials Analyst and Portfolio Manager, Morgan Stanley Equity Research as Senior European Mining and Steel Analyst following a stint as Australian Mining and Energy Analyst and a Resources Analyst at BBY Limited having started out in a similar role at Intersuisse Ltd.

Marcus holds a BCom in Finance and Economics from Bond University, Queensland, Australia and a graduate diploma in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia.


Joe O'Brien

Joe O'Brien

Risk & Portfolio Construction, RBC Global Equity

Joe is a Junior Researcher and responsible for the development of risk management tools on the Global Equity team. Before joining RBC Global Asset Management in 2015, Joe worked in financial technology consulting for start-ups. Previously, Joe worked developing solutions for a sharing economy start-up in the parking industry. Joe was also as a member of the teaching staff on General Assembly’s Data Science course.

Joe is currently studying for his BSc in Mathematics and Statistics at Birkbeck, University of London.


Jeremy Richardson

Jeremy is a Senior Portfolio Manager and is the Consumer Specialist on the Global Equity team. Jeremy joined RBC Global Asset Management with the team in early 2014 after having spent more than seven years with them at First State in the same capacity. Previous experience includes roles at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Schroders Investment Management

Jeremy holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Exeter. He is also a qualified accountant, having trained at Price Waterhouse in London.


Romain Scampini

Romain Scampini

Risk & Portfolio Construction, RBC Global Equity

Romain is a Portfolio Manager for the Global Equities team and is responsible for risk & portfolio construction. Before joining RBC Global Asset Management in early 2014, Romain worked with the team at First State in the same capacity for over seven years. Previous experience includes roles at Thomson Financial, where he was heavily involved in the building of quantitative models, as a QA Manager at Becrypt, a Compliance and Certification Test Leader at VMC Consulting/Microsoft and as a Development Engineer at C4W in France.

Romain holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Robotics from IMERIR and a degree in Mechanics and Production Systems from IUT de Nîmes in France.


Julie Thomas

Global Financials, RBC Global Equity

Julie is a Senior Portfolio Manager and the Global Equity team’s Financials specialist. Before joining RBC Global Asset Management in early 2014 Julie worked in the same capacity at First State Investments from 2011. Before joining the team at First State, Julie was with Oriel Securities where she worked as a UK equity sales specialist focusing on banks, insurance and general financial institutions. Previous experience includes roles at Threadneedle Asset Management as an Investment Analyst and Head of the banking sector team where the prime focus of her role was on European financials, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority as a Senior Investment Analyst in the Pan-European Equity team, Morley Asset Management as head of financial research and Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a Fund Manager/Analyst.

Julie is an Associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. She also holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Banking and International Finance from City, University of London.


Dag Wetterwald

Risk & Portfolio Construction, RBC Global Equity

Dag is Senior Portfolio Manager focused on portfolio construction and risk management for the Global Equities team. Before joining RBC Global Asset Management in early 2014, Dag spent eight years with the Global Equity team at First State in the same capacity. Prior to this, Dag was at Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) where he held various quantitative research roles in London and California and was also a member of the London investment committee. Previous experience includes various investment roles at Carnegie Asset Management in Norway, Finland and Sweden, and a research role at Statistics Norway.

Dag holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School and an MSc in Economics from the University of Oslo in Norway.


Perry Winfield

Global Industrials and Utilities, RBC Global Equity

Perry is a Senior Portfolio Manager and the Global Equity team’s Global Industrials and Utilities sector specialist. He joined RBC Global Asset Management in early 2014, after having worked at First State for over nine years in the same capacity. His previous experience includes Industrials-related investment banking and equity research roles at JPMorgan. At JPMorgan he was recognised with a #1 Thomson Extel rating for European Building & Construction research. Additionally, Perry has over five years Emerging Markets experience gained mainly in New York at Salomon Brothers and BNP Paribas, where he was also Director of Research for Latin America.

Perry holds a BA (Honours) in Economic History from Durham University.


Ben Yeoh

Global Healthcare, RBC Global Equity

Ben is a Senior Portfolio Manager and the Global Equity team’s Healthcare sector specialist. In addition he is the team’s ESG expert and sits in a non-executive advisory capacity for Responsible Investment and ESG for a leading UK investment trust. Prior to joining RBC Global Asset Management in early 2014 Ben worked in the same capacity for three years at First State Investments. Previous experience includes roles at Atlantic Equities where Ben was responsible for global healthcare research with a special focus on the US and at ABN AMRO where he was recognised with a #1 Thomson Extel rating across all sectors for integrated ESG research. In 2012, Ben won the Starmine award for best stock picker in Healthcare.

Ben holds an MA (Natural Science) from Cambridge University gaining the top first in his year. He won a scholarship to Harvard University and studied there at post graduate level specialising in behavioural neuroscience. Ben is a CFA charterholder and a member of the UK’s Financial Reporting Council’s Investor Advisory Group.


Simon Gregory

Simon Gregory

Managing Director, RBC Global Equity

Simon is a Managing Director on the Global Equity team at RBC. He is responsible for client engagement and representing the RBC Global Equity strategy within the investment community. Before joining RBC Global Asset Management in 2013 Simon spent 12 years at Western Asset Management as Head of UK Client Service & Marketing with overall responsibility for all aspects of business development and client service in the UK and Ireland. Previously Simon was employed at two UK-domiciled institutional asset management firms as an Institutional Marketing Manager working with clients, prospects and consultants. He started his asset management career in 1997 having previously worked as a high school teacher since 1993.

Simon holds a BSc (Econ) Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
