Damon Williams

Chief Executive Officer

Damon is CEO of RBC Global Asset Management, CEO of RBC Global Asset Management Inc., and President of RBC Global Asset Management’s institutional client business globally.

Damon joined Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management Ltd. in 2005 as an institutional portfolio manager in the fixed income group. Shortly after the acquisition of PH&N by RBC in 2008, Damon was appointed Head of RBC Global Asset Management’s institutional business globally and President of Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management. Prior to joining PH&N, Damon worked at a large multinational insurance, risk management and human capital consulting firm where he had been both global and Canadian leader of their investment consulting practice. Damon is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He became a CFA charter holder in 1999.

Clive Brown

Clive Brown

Chief Executive Officer, RBC Global Asset Management (UK) Ltd

Clive is the Chief Executive Officer of RBC Global Asset Management International, and a member of the RBC Global Asset Management Executive Committee. Clive is based in London and is responsible for leading RBC Global Asset Management’s businesses outside of North America, with a focus on Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and the Asia Pacific region.

He trained as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London, qualifying in 1986 and subsequently worked for them in the United States of America and Hong Kong. In 1991 he joined Jardine Fleming in Hong Kong and assumed increasingly senior roles within that organization before it was acquired by JP Morgan in 2000. In 2003 he became the CEO for EMEA and Asia for JP Morgan Asset Management and subsequently its Global Chief Operating Officer. He was a member of JP Morgan’s Group Executive Committee and its EMEA and Asia Management Committees and in addition chaired its Global Investment Management Executive Committee.

Dan is the Chief Investment Officer of RBC Global Asset Management, and a member of the RBC Global Asset Management’s Executive Committee. As CIO of RBC Global Asset Management, in Canada Dan is responsible for the firm’s overall direction of investment policy and fund management. He chairs the RBC Investment Strategy Committee, the group responsible for global asset mix recommendations and portfolio construction for use in RBC Wealth Managements’ key client groups including RBC Dominion Securities and RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel; and he also chairs the PH&N IM Asset Mix Committee, the group responsible for establishing asset mix strategy for institutional clients in Canada. In addition, Dan is a member of the Boards of RBC Global Asset Management Inc., of BlueBay Asset Management LLP and of two other RBC-affiliated companies, and is a member of the RBC Pension Investment Strategy Committee.

Dan began his career in 1980 as an analyst with a Canadian insurance company, where he held various positions before being appointed Director, Common Stock Investments. In 1987, he joined the Canadian Trend and Cycle Department at RBC Dominion Securities, where he chaired their Investment Strategy Committee and was responsible for the firm’s top-down research including its global economic, quantitative and technical research teams. He assumed the position of Chief Investment Strategist at RBC Capital Markets in 1990 and was appointed Managing Director of Research & Chief Strategist at RBC Capital Markets in 1995, a position he held until moving to RBC Global Asset Management in 2002. Dan became a CFA charterholder in 1985.

Judy Cotte

Judy Cotte

Vice President

Judy Cotte is V.P. & Head, Corporate Governance & Responsible Investment for RBC Global Asset Management and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. RBC Global Asset Management manages approximately CAD $380 billion in assets for individual and institutional investors through offices in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Asia. The Corporate Governance & Responsible Investment team oversees all of RBC Global Asset Management’s activities related to corporate governance and responsible investment including the more formal integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into the investment process, proxy voting and the development of a more formal program to engage on ESG issues with the companies in which it is invested.

Prior to joining RBC Global Asset Management, Judy was the Director of Policy Development & Chief Operating Officer for the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (“CCGG”), a coalition of most of Canada’s largest institutional investors. Before joining CCGG, she completed her Masters degree in securities law while working on special projects for various branches of the Ontario Securities Commission (“OSC”) including the Office of Domestic and International Affairs, Enforcement and Corporate Finance. Previously, she was Senior Litigation Counsel with the OSC where she prosecuted offences under the Securities Act, including misleading disclosure, market manipulation and insider trading. Prior to joining the OSC, Judy was litigation counsel for a large broker/dealer and prior to that, a partner in a Bay Street law firm.

Judy is a member of the OSC’s Securities Advisory Committee, the CCGG’s Public Policy Committee and an incoming member of the TSX Listings Advisory Committee. She has been designated the Country Correspondent for Canada by the International Corporate Governance Network. She is a past member of the OSC’s Continuous Disclosure Advisory Committee, Environmental Reporting Advisory Committee and Enforcement Committee. She was previously the Canada Correspondent for the Council of Institutional Investors.

Doug  Coulter

Doug is President, RBC Global Asset Management , a Director of RBC Global Asset Management, and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He began his career in 1986 as an investment advisor with RBC Dominion Securities. He then spent five years at another Canadian bank as an investment specialist in their private banking unit before rejoining RBC DS in 1993. Doug was responsible for all North American fee-based programs including both RBC Dominion Securities and RBC Dain Rauscher before becoming the head of Canadian Wealth Management Services. In 2005, Doug became President and CEO of RBC Direct Investing.

Dagmara Fijalkowski

Dagmara Fijalkowski

Head of Global Fixed Income and Currencies

As Head of Global Fixed Income and Currencies, Dagmara oversees 25 investment professionals in Toronto and London, with more than $57 billion in assets under management. In her duties as a portfolio manager, Dagmara co-manages several of the firms' bond funds and manages foreign-exchange hedging and active currency management programs for fixed income and equity funds.

Dagmara chairs the Fixed Income Strategy Committee; is a member of the RBC Investment Policy Committee, which determines the asset mix for balanced products; the RBC Investment Strategy Committee, which establishes global investment strategy for the firm; and the RBC GAM Executive Committee.

Dagmara began her investment career in 1994. She holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Lodz in Poland. Dagmara is a CFA charterholder (1997).


Bruce Geddes

Bruce leads the institutional client business in Canada and is responsible for developing and implementing business strategy in institutional asset management. In this capacity, he is President of PH&N IM, and Head, Institutional Asset Management (Canada), as well as Chairman of the Canadian Institutional Management Committee. He is also a member of RBC Global Asset Management’s Executive Committee, the group responsible for developing RBC Global Asset Management’s global business strategy. As an institutional portfolio manager, Bruce specializes in fixed income portfolios and focuses on developing structured derivative-based investment solutions and liability-benchmarked solutions. Prior to joining the organization in 2008, he was the Managing Director of Portfolio Management and the Head of Institutional Quantitative Fixed Income and Derivatives-Based Solutions for the asset management division of another major Canadian bank. He was also the fixed income member of the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee and has extensive experience in customizing fixed income solutions for clients. Bruce has been involved in the investment industry since 1990 and was previously an analyst and a trader. He became a CFA charterholder in 1994.

Erich Gerth

Partner, Chief Executive Officer

Erich is Chief Executive Officer of BlueBay and an Executive Member of the Board of BlueBay Asset Management LLP. In addition to these responsibilities he is a member of the RBC Global Asset Management Executive Committee. Erich joined BlueBay in 2012 as Partner, Global Head of Business Development and member of the firm’s Management Committee. Erich initially joined the BlueBay Asset Management LLP Board in January 2014 and became the firm’s CEO on 1 May 2017.

Prior to BlueBay, Erich was Chief Executive of APAC, Head of Global Business Development and member of the Executive Committee of London based Aviva Investors. Erich has over 30 years’ experience in financial services and over 12 years managing global businesses, working across institutional and retail markets in both traditional and alternative asset classes. Erich has an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MBA (Asia Focus) from the National University of Singapore.


Matthew Graham

Matthew is the Global Chief Operating Officer for RBC Global Asset Management with regional oversight for the firm’s Canadian operations. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Alternate Ultimate Designated Person for the Canadian business. Prior to taking this role in Canada, Matt was the Chief Operating Officer, International and oversaw the operations of RBC GAM’s London and Hong Kong offices. Matthew joined Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management in early 2007 as Senior Legal Counsel and after the firm's acquisition by RBC, transitioned into the role of Vice President, Institutional Strategy. Matt began his career in 2000 at Oslers LLP in Toronto as a lawyer focused on investment funds and business law. In 2002, he joined TD Asset Management with responsibility for providing legal counsel to the institutional investment management and mutual fund businesses.

Jonathan Hartman

Jonathan is Head of Advisor Channel Sales and a member of the Executive Committee for RBC Global Asset Management Inc. (RBC GAM). He previously led the RBC GAM Investment Solutions team.

Over the course of his career, he’s had the opportunity to work with, lead, and learn from outstanding teams from across the firm focusing on a common theme – delivering an outstanding investment experience to RBC GAM clients.

Jonathan received his MBA from McMaster University and joined RBC GAM in 1995. He became a CFA charterholder in 1998. Jonathan lives in Oakville with his wife, four children and their Havanese puppy named Jax.

Stuart is Senior Portfolio Manager, Co-Head of RBC Global Asset Management’s Canadian Equity Team, a member of the RBC Investment Strategy Committee, and a member of the RBC Global Asset Management’s Executive Committee. Stuart began his career in 1996 with a two-year internship as part of RBC Dominion Securities’ Generalist Program. In 1998, he joined the RBC Investments Portfolio Advisory Group, which provides investment ideas and recommendations to RBC Dominion Securities Investment Advisors. Stuart was also a member of the RBC Dominion Securities strategy & focus list committees. He joined RBC Asset Management in 2002. Stuart became a CFA charterholder 1999.

Michael Lee

Mike is the Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Investment Officer and a Director of RBC Global Asset Management (U.S.) Inc. and is a member of the RBC GAM Executive Committee. He joined a predecessor firm in 1993 as an equity analyst, and his subsequent experience includes client service and portfolio management. Previously, Mike had spent seven years with an airline company in corporate sales and strategic systems development. Mike became a CFA charterholder in 1995.
